No record of baptism 1879-1893 at Wells-next-the-sea or 1880-1886 at Snettisham. Date information from my parents. 1891 Census records his place of birth as Wells Next The Sea. Sydney died 24 March 1951 in Durham district, at 68 years of age. Death register Durham North Ref. 1a 622. Aged 68.
He married Ada French in St. Peter's Church, Sacriston, Co. Durham, 24 July 1909. Marriage Certificate Entry No. 65 on Page 33.
Ada was born in 18 St Mark's Road North, Sunderland, Co. Durham 8 July 1888. Copy Birth Certificate issued 5 November 1982. Original issued 15 August 1888. Entry No. 9 of North Bishopwearmouth Sub-District of Sunderland. Ada was the daughter of Samuel French and Mary Ann Wilde.
Ada died 26 August 1971 in Leicester, at 83 years of age. She was listed as head of household in the 1891 census in 18 St Mark's Road North, Sunderland, Co. Durham. RG12 Piece 4128, Folio, 49, Page 19. Samuel aged 41 a coachman domestic servant, Mary 33, Newcombe 13, Mary 11, Selina 10, Harriet 7, Alfred 5, Ada 2 and Ruth 7 months.
She was listed as head of household in the 1901 census in Wellington Row, Edmondsley, Co. Durham. RG13 Piece 4701, Folio 28, Page 10 shows Samuel aged 51, occupation a Coalmine Coachman, Mary aged 43, William 23 horse fodder labourer, Alfred J 15 coal mine driver, Ada 12, Ruth 10, May 7, Samuel 5 and Marha 2. Census says Samuel was born at Blackmorsend, Essex but 1881 Census says he was born in Wethersfield, Essex, which is circa 5 miles away. William born Plawsworth, Alfred J, Ada, & May born Sunderland, Samuel and Martha born Edmondsley.
She was listed as head of household in the 1911 UK Census in 4 West Lane, Chester-le-Street, Co. Durham. RG14 PN30093, RG78PN1738, RD554, SD1, ED9, SN359 shows Sydney aged 28 a builder's cartman born Wells, Norfolk, Ada 23 born Sunderland and Samuel Claude 1. They have been married 1 year and have a child.
He was listed as head of household in the 1891 census in Silkeys Lane, Chirton, Northumberland. Census RG12 Piece 4224 Folio 114 Page 47. Robert aged 42 a gardener, Annie 43 shown as being born at North Shields instead of South Shields, Violet 14, George H (shown as Henry G) 12 and Sydney (shown as Sidney V) 8. Sydney's birth place is Wells, Norfolk with the others shown as in the 1881 Census.

Robert aged 47 but 1891 Census said 4 2, occupation gardener not domestic born Snettisham. Annie died 24 December 1915 in Chester-le-Street district, Co Durham, at 4 years of age. Death Register Ref. 10a 467. She was buried on 24 December 1915 so must have died earlier. Her body was interred 24 December 1915 in Chester-le-Street Cemetery. No gravestone. In same grave as Robert Thomas Walker Plot H634.
