24. Harriet4 French (Mary Ann3 Wilde, William2 Wild(e), William1 Wilde) was born in Edmondsley, Co. Durham 13 June 1883. Details taken from family bible. Free BMD Site has a record for September quarter 1883 Ref. 10A 486 in Chester-le-Street, Co. Durham district. Harriet died 1947 at 64 years of age.

She married John Joseph Ord in Chester-le-Street Registry Off, 26 August 1905. Copy certificate dated 14 November 1988 provided by John Ord. Joseph is 25 a stonemason at a colliery, father William Ord deceased. Harriet is 22 of no occupation, father Samuel French.

John was born in Chester-le-Street district, Co Durham June 1880. Free BMD has an entry Ref. Volume 10A Page 527. 1901 Census says born Sacriston. John was the son of William Ord.

John died about 1921. Died in mining accident. Informant Joyce Ord

He was listed as head of household in the 1901 census in 33 Victoria Street, Witton Gilbert, Co. Durham. RG13 Piece 4701, Folio 124, Page 44 shows John Joseph Ord 20 coal mine r hewer born Sacriston described as nephew of Martha Foster 49 widow. A lso there is her niece Isabella Ord 10 and Willaim O Foster son 21.

He was listed as head of household in the 1911 UK Census in 10 Red Rows, Edmondsley, Co. Durham. RG14PN30110 RG78PN1738 RD554 SD1 ED26 SN196 shows John Joseph 30 coal miner shifter (day labourer below ground) born Kimbleworth, Harriet 27 born Edmondsley married 6 years and Joseph Honor 2 born Sacriston. John and Harriet have 2 children both are alive.

She was listed as head of household in the 1891 census in 18 St Mark's Road North, Sunderland, Co. Durham. RG12 Piece 4128, Folio, 49, Page 19. Samuel aged 41 a coachman domestic servant, Mary 33, Newcombe 13, Mary 11, Selina 10, Harriet 7, Alfred 5, Ada 2 and Ruth 7 months.

She was listed as head of household in the 1901 census in 5 Wellington Street, Edmondsley, Co. Durham. RG13 Piece 4701, Folio 28, Page 9 shows Harriet 17 general domestic servant for William & Annie Gowland. Because of software constraints Harriet is shown in error as head of household.
